Default Malware on the 'Old stuff' link

Alain,

Did you know that you have content on www.arianesoft.ca/old that links to a malware site?

Check out the attachment - Just re-visited ariansoft this morning and Google Chrome had a fit!

Cheers

Mike.

Hi Mike,

I've been trying to get rid of this thing for the past week. I've found a few hints but it looks like they are better than me with PHP and web stuff.

I will keep on investigating to get rid of this for good.

Btw, how are you my old friend?

I'm doing well thanks. Not done any PPL for 12 months - Slack I know, but not had time or inclination really. Got rid of my Toshiba TG01 as it was a bit pants and no support from Toshiba. On Android LG optimus 3d now so no chance of mobile apps with PPL at all Still hoping to get some PC coding done though.

Web hacks are kack! - When it happened to one of my sites, I had to ftp all the code to a folder on my PC, search for the offending web site, remove it, then change the ftp site password before re-uploading it.

Took about 1 week to clean properly.

Keep at it and you will resolve it mate.

Regards

Mike.

(Like your IOS stuff - looks very professional)

Thank you for the suggestions on how to fix the problems. I will do that, it makes a lot of sense.

I don't know if PPL would work Android if I rewrite it? Does Google allow such apps?

Depends on the target device.

Android allows you to install apps that are not from the market place (But some device manufacturers block this option)

I have used Google's App Inventor a few times (Its good, but no where near as easy to use as PPL is) and it creates .APK files (bit like .Cab files) which I was able to upload and install via SD card.

Dont know how difficult it would be to port PPL to Android? - Google forums may be the place to start with that.

It does look like MS has lost the battle for smartphone OS's - IOS and Android seem to be the dominant systems now - Even BlackBerry is losing out now!

PPL for Android would be EPIC ... We can dream I guess!

M.

Could you please confirm the malware is not there anymore?

I have removed it but just wanted a double confirmation.
